SIMON HUNT

Simon trained at The Guildford School of Acting and worked as an actor in the UK from 1991 till coming to Australia in 2003.  Simon also works as a director, movement director and has taught and directed at various colleges here and in the UK including Central School of Speech and Drama, Mountview Academey of Theatre Arts, Middlesex University, Arts Educational, NIDA and ATYP.

Simon’s work as an actor includes: Death of a Salesman with Jude Law, Gypsy, Conquest of the South Pole all West Yorkshire Playhouse, De La Guarda London cast , Julius Caesar Young Vic, Merchant of Venice Compass Theatre Co. Ovid’s Metamorphoses The Clod Ensemble, Moliere’s George Dandin Red Shift Theatre Co, , Burn This Plymouth Theatre Royal, the title role in Rumplestiltskin Nottingham Playhouse, Buddy (The Buddy Holly Story) West End London Laundryroom at the Hotel Madrid The Gate, TV includes: Grange Hill, Dangerfield, As Seen on TV, Daylight Robbery, In Extreme Danger, I Was a Rat.

Simon has been Associate Director of The Journey Program since 2004, he deals with the overall running of the program, is one of the core acting tutors and has directed the students in productions of As You Like It,  A Midsummer Nights Dream,  The Merchant of Venice, A Dolls House, The Three Sisters, Uncle Vanya, The Graduate Showcase and many other shows and projects.
