ANTHONY SKUSE
Anthony has been on staff at Actors Centre Australia since 1994, where he teaches Mask, Animal Work and Performance History. He is also on staff at NIDA Anthony trained at the Drama Studio Sydney and has continued to work with various theatre practitioners over the years; most significantly Suprapto Suryodarma studying Amerta Movement.
Anthony's recent directing credits include: Jose Rivera's References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot (Griffin Independent 2009); Robert Farquhar's Bad Jazz (square the circle and Darlinghurst Theatre); Brent Thorp's Fabulous Punch and Judy Show (Mardis Gras '08); Tony Kushner's Bright Room Called Day (NIDA); the Presnyakov Brothers’ Terrorism (square the circle and Darlinghurst Theatre); Marius Von Mayenburg's The Cold Child (2006 Griffin Stablemates); Medea: an adaptation (New Theatre); Michael Gow's Live Acts On Stage (square the circle and 2005 Griffin Stablemates); Roland Schimmelpfennig's Push Up 1-3 (Ciphor Productions at the Parade Studio); Vassily Sigarev's Plasticine and Franz Xaver Kroetz's Stallerhof (NIDA); The Greek Project: Aischylos, Euripides and Sophocles: a special project at ATYP, for twenty women, aged nine to sixty-nine. In 1988 Anthony established Cahoots (1988 – ‘95): a touring company whose focus was Shakespeare and the Commedia: as well as their theatre shows, the company performed in high schools throughout NSW, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia.
